Skeezel is loved by many Americans from kids to adults. Created in 1951 by a 10-year-old boy in grade school from Endicott New York. Mel Coleman says Skeezel just came to him one day and has been drawing him ever since.

Skeezel and Buddy

After serving our country in the late 50's to early 60's Mel would join the movie industry in sunny California.
Skeezel would make many appearances throughout the years.Mostly on the back of receipts at restaurants Mel would frequently draw a Skeezel for the waitresses and sometimes even number them.Some have said they still have Skeezel on their fridge.

Early Skeezel 1990's

For many days while taking a break from his work Mel would just relax by drawing a quick sketch of Skeezel.In the 90's and 2000's Mel worked as the sales manager for a local ready-mix company. Over 30 years in the ready-mix.With Skeezel, every day is a "Great Day"!
